Utilizing light and simple technologies, I create installations that explore perceptions of natural and spatial phenomena. The subject of these installations is generated from investigations of space and perception, and the scientific constructs of phenomenon that contribute to our understanding of space and place.
This work develops from experiences of anxiety, wonder, and real and imagined notions of vulnerability and peril. It calls attention to the relationship between humans, the environment, nature, and technology.
I am an MFA candidate in Art + Design at the University of Michigan. My research beyond the School of Art & Design is focused in Architecture and works towards understanding how humans perceive, relate to, interpret, and control the environment.
